The more of these releases I try from Eagle the more I think they’re one of the stealth best brewers of Belgian styles in the country.  Delicate but distinct on the nose, with candied orange peel, coriander seed and sugar frosted almonds.  The palate is light bodied and ethereal, like the best tripels, with bush honey, rising bread dough and orange almond cake.  All those sweet notes would usually risk toppling a beer’s flavour, but there’s a freshness and effervescence flowing through this one that keeps it aloft.  A supreme balancing act of flavour.
