Bach Brewing All Day Go, a vitamin fortified non-alcoholic pale ale, is the latest addition to their burgeoning (and wildly successful) non-alc range.  Seeing any beer that has been in any way ‘fortified’ with something chemical rather than culinary, always raises the spectre of one of the worst I’ve ever tasted…

For a very short period, the energy drink craze of the early-mid aughts spawned something marketed as ‘energy beer’.  I can’t remember the brand, and it was around for such a short period that no evidence of it existing seems to remain on the internet, but I swear it was real.  At any rate, it tasted like any other cheap lager, only with a tablespoon of Red Bull in every bottle, and it was truly, incomparably ghastly.

I can gladly report that this is not the case here.  The added vitamins in All Day Go are unobtrusive, if detectable at all.  The bright, clean and exceptionally pure hop driven flavour that Bach Brewing’s non-alc range has become famous shines through as strongly as ever.  With its vitamin payload and very low calories, this might be one of the first beers that’s indisputably good for you.
