Cracks are already appearing in the fresh hop dam… but before we’re completely awash in those impending releases — one more conventional IPA.

The third in Boneface Brewing’s rolling series of collabs (this time from Hasting’s Brave Brewing) and quite possibly the best yet. Nelson Sauvin joins American Mosaic and Strata which drive an aroma that begins with an incredible Nelson pungency, before setting into a cooler pine and citrus groove.

The substantial malt on the palate is cut by searingly sharp citrus that rapidly calms into a dank herbaceousness, which itself gives way to a strong and deeply aromatic bitterness that permeates the long finish. With their long record of consistently excellent full-strength IPA (looking at you Tigermilk and Terrible Lizards), Brave was an excellent pick to collaborate on this particular beer.

The year is still young, but this is without a doubt the best IPA of 2026 that I’ve encountered yet.
