dnature diagnostics & research are experts in all things PCR.  As developers of unique diagnostic tests such as the Mānuka honey standard, American Foulbrood swab test and the first to develop wine spoilage & bacteria tests for the New Zealand wine industry, we have always been at the forefront of primary industry DNA diagnostics.

Our ‘why’ is that we enjoy using DNA diagnostics to help solve industry problems and this is also true for the brewing industry. Tests that we have developed for the industry include ‘diastatic yeast’ & its ability to attenuate, as well as for the usual yeasts & bacteria such as Brettanomyces, lactic acid bacteria and Zygosaccharomyces to name a few. We also offer sequencing services to determine exactly what is growing on your plates.

Because we also supply reagents & equipment to businesses & research institutes in New Zealand and around the world, we are also able to outfit your brewery/cidery so that you too can have PCR capability.

Our brewing customers who use our testing services, or those we have set up for their own testing capability, know that regular PCR testing can identify spoilage issues (yeasts & bacteria) before the beverage is taken to market and thus preventing a valuable customer drinking a bad brew.
