Sprig + Fern’s ultra-classic Harvest Pilsner is always amongst the very first heralds of the impending hopocalypse, and frequently remains one of the best till the end of fresh hop seasons.

This season’s release (it’s 16th outing!) presents a gentle citrus and cut grass aroma, with a curiously anomalous note of freshly pruned grape vine. The initial palate delivers a remarkable flash of blanco tequila and lime juice, before the snapped-stem, almost grapeseed tannin note rises to dominance and locks together with the crunchy malt and firm bitterness, fastening down the finish absolutely.

One of the most robust and engaging vintages that Harvest Pilsner has ever produced, and hopefully an excellent portend for an engaging fresh hop season to come.
