I discovered this hidden gem amongst the other dubiously strong imported budget beers, which are otherwise almost exclusively lagers, and almost exclusively bad.  But this one, all the way from Poland, is an exception on both counts. There’s dark chocolate, coffee and brandy soaked sultanas on the nose, with just a thread of savory smoke.  The palate is concentrated and warming, but still moves quite rapidly.  Rich roasted malt flows into blackberry fruitiness before a monumentally bitter finish takes over.  An extremely serious porter, and stunningly well priced too.
