Christmas has come early for me this year, as Warkworth’s 8-Wired has revived one of their (and very much one of my own) all time classic beers.  Superconductor Double IPA (8.8%) channels a similar energy to its legendary stablemate Hopwired, with sumptuous aromas of pine, grapefruit and white grape smashed together with a fulsome but perfectly integrated malt backbone.  However, the touch of (I am assuming) American hops and higher bitterness means it actually drinks considerably drier than Hopwired, despite being stronger.  An old school Double IPA that I think shows up a great many of its modern contemporaries.

How then, to improve on something that’s already great?  8-Wired has that one sorted too.  In this case, can it in a generous 500ml format, and sell it for $8.25 (if one goes for the case).  I usually try not to weight my reviews too heavily by ‘value’, but bloody hell!
