A long awaited rebrew of one of Epic’s classic West Coast IPAs is now in can for the first time. The kings of classic IPA in NZ keep on reminding people of the greatness of the style that made craft beer great. A huge aroma of lush peach and nectarine bursts out the second you crack the can. This opens up when you pour it to bring in a brilliant resinous hop note. Complete with a deft touch of sweetness in the light malt base, an aggressive, old-school bitterness to rough you up at the back of the palate and a slow alcohol warmth to remind you of the ABV. I’m ecstatic that Epic are going back to their roots and cranking out seasonal West Coast IPAs again, it’s what the industry needs and I’m 100% here for it
