Part of Garage Project’s ‘Home and Away’ series, which comprises re-brews of historic overseas collaborations; in this case with Victory Brewing Company of Pennsylvania. Riwaka, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin all come together to form a lush noble hop aroma. Strongly herbaceous, with fresh green peas, along with gentle citrus and citrus blossom over a soft graininess. The palate is dense with fresh hop and clean malt flavour, and precisely tensioned across an unyielding bitterness. Both more and moreish, this is a supreme example of a truly craft pilsner, and one that I hope serves as a beacon for more in this style.
