This is a dry hazy where the pungent hop characters (Ekuanot, Citra, Loral, Idaho 7) outshine the fruit. Unfiltered and unfined, this murky brew has a sour orange aroma with a hint of cat pee. A big and bitter flavour of grapefruit with some orange, and a generous hoppy finish. The quenching notes from wheat malt used rounds out the package. It’s the latest release of a monthly series of small batch hazy IPAs available only at Garage Project outlets. The Feb 2021 also had a grapefruit and orange aroma and quenching orangey flavour, but was lighter and a bit understated in the hops. Whereas the Jan 2021 was soft, sweet and smooth – almost creamy – with a citrus and tropical fruit nose.
