The latest in Garage Project’s series of super strong and super weird stouts. With the ingredients list including chocolate, black sesame seeds and miso, it could be the most out there one yet. I don’t typically comment on appearance, but this beer is BLACK; not black like Guinness, black like space. The chocolate and miso come out most strongly on the nose, with the uniquely bitter-savoury of black sesame hiding further back. The palate is strangely hyperactive, bouncing back and forth between salty miso and rich chocolate, with black liquorice appearing out of nowhere. Eventually the chocolate and bitterness win, finally settling down for a superbly long finish. A beer for the most extreme sensory explorers.
