Carefully blended together from several vintages of McLeod’s extensive barrel program, this dark sour comes from a far more complex lineage than its simple moniker might imply.  Tart and funky on the nose, with wet oak tannin, liquorice and roasted malt.  Surprisingly light bodied for its full 7.5%, lifted and prickly with a hint of brett from the barrel.  The finish is quick and lively, with minimal bitterness, spritzy effervescence and refreshing acidity.
