Among the first wave of canned releases from Christchurch’s Volstead Brewing Company. Single hopped with the indomitable Nelson Sauvin, this moderate strength hazy has been one of their most popular taps this year. An unmistakable Sauvin aroma of gooseberry and white grape, sauvignon blanc and grapefruit sorbet. Despite being only 5.8%, the palate crams in a massive hop character. Concentrated tropical and herbaceous flavours, with a gripping bitterness running alongside. Finishes long, slightly oily and faintly warming. This is Nelson Sauvin turned ALL the way up.
