Honey Bandit Mead are meadery based in Te Atatu, Auckland, but they do more than just mead and fresh out is a beer called The Bandit, a pilsner made with honey. It’s a nice clean Pilsner with a subtle undertone of the honey which smoothed out the hoppiness of the beer which I absolutely vibed with, but if I were to give the brewers my 2 cents’ worth, I’d request a dash more honey because I’m absolutely loving this combo of beer and honey! And if you are a fan of a dash of sweetness in your brews or honey gets you buzzing then I would definitely recommend giving The Bandit a shot.

Tasting notes: Dehydrated dirt, the skin of a green grape, creamed honey, a drop of liquid candle wax, grass from a rugby field and a rice cracker.
