A limited release strong pale featuring a new trial hop from NZ Hops Ltd, NZH102, which NZ Hops has been getting out to brewers this year to see how it performs in the wild. The front of the nose has delicate lemon lime citrus, white grape and honeysuckle. There’s a curious berry sorbet further in that fully emerges on the palate, with fresh blackberry and blueberries amongst gentle pine and tropical flavours. The bitterness is mild, which really lets those intriguing berry fruit flavours linger into the finish. A fascinating first outing for this berrylicious new hop.
